Look at all the pretty things we had at this month's EcoForge!
We've started calling this event EcoForge as we realised that permaculture isn't a thing that everyone's heard of. It's primarily about living local, and reduce, reuse, recycle. Everyone supports each other whilst reducing their carbon footprint.
All our EcoForge stallholders are local craftspeople making a variety of wonderful sustainable jewellery, art, toiletries, and all sorts of other wonderful creations :)
We had a wonderful time at our family art day this weekend. We had tie-dying, rock and shell painting, badge making, potato printing, and lots of fun games for the children.
This is the sort of event we'd love to keep doing throughout the winter, so if you have any ideas of a local indoor space where we could decamp when the weather turns then please do give us a shout!
Our second Wordforge event was just as wonderful as the first! Many of the same faces from the first event, with many newcomers too. The weather even agreed to behave for us so we got to enjoy some amazing spoken word performances on a warm summer's evening.
The next Wordforge event will be at 6pm on the 28th of September. Please do come and join us!
Our inaugural spoken word event (or Wordforge as we've been calling it) was a really beautiful evening. It was a perfect summer evening, the stage was put together by a couple of our Forge Angels, and it was the first event where the directors could actually relax, be part of the audience, and take stock of what we've created together!
We had poets, storytellers, singers, and even a few dad jokes. Performers were everything from complete first-timers, to published authors and poets.
The next one should be happening in August so please keep across our Facebook page for updates and schedules.
